What is Adolescent gynecology & Counseling?

As a young woman, it’s completely normal to have questions—and even a few nerves—when it comes to your reproductive health. Whether it’s your first gynecology appointment or you're looking for guidance on periods, birth control, or STDs, the care team at Waldorf Women’s Care is here to make the experience positive, informative, and judgment-free.

When to see a Gynecologist?

You should schedule your first gynecology visit:
At age 21, or Within 3 years of becoming sexually active, whichever comes first

This first visit doesn’t always involve a pelvic exam. In many cases, it’s just a conversation and general health check to help you feel comfortable and informed about your body and your care.

Contraception Counseling

Contraceptives can also provide significant relief from common conditions such as:

Irregular or painful periods

Hormonal acne

PMS or mood swings

Endometriosis

Prevention of anemia or migraines

We offer pill options, IUDs, implants, rings, and more—and we'll take time to explain them all. Birth control offers young women more than a solution to unwanted pregnancy.
